I bought this Brand/style and size Avanti while I was still single. I always loved the way my clothes spun out almost dry! At first I double checked to see if they had gotten wet at all! Clothes never tangled up (no dasher) and it was so economical for water use and they dried quickly. My favorite washer I ever had. After I married, my husband wanted to buy me a new full size Bosch washer and dryer. I stalled him for several years but gave in when we got the new house. I gave the Avanti washer to a single friend and other than a few minor repairs, she enjoyed it for another 10 years.I did change out the drain system and hoses on my Avanti to a regular washer's size from Lowe's. Being on wheels and small, it's easy to clean under. If I figure right, the Bosch is 10 yrs old and I hear it growling when it spins. If I have to replace it, this model is what I will buy. The only problem I can see is king size quilts and comforters do not fit this machine, as well as larger... I bought this as a gift for my son who lives in a small apartment with no hook-ups. It arrived very promptly on the delivery day it was expected which was crucial due to his work schedule. I feared there would be some connection issues because of his apartment being older and unsure of what he had available. As it turned out, I was right...the parts that were furnished didn't fit a standard faucet. So an adapter had to be purchased to make the connection. We thought the battle had been won until the hoses that came with the unit refused to not leak and then quickly stripped out from trying to get them connected without spraying. After a second purchase of new hoses finally the machine could be used. Works great, nice machine! I don't think that it's an unreasonable expectation to have the proper fitting included especially when it's a standard hook-up.
